Paying tribute to the lives of those who once manned the 4 Lighthouses of Erris, Blacksod Lighthouse is open to the public from 2021. This historical D-Day landmark is lovingly managed by the team at CFID and we look forward to showing you around.

How to Book
Due to Covid restrictions we can only accommodate groups and pods of up to 6 people at a time. Choose a time slot below to book your group. We require a €10 deposit and the balance owed will be settled at the door based on prices above.

Payment will be due prior to tour, cash and card are accepted.
A tour costs a minimum of €10, so even a 1 person tour will be charged €10
Children must be over 1.2M tall to climb the tower.

On arrival show your e-receipt to a member of our team in the Reception Pod across from the lighthouse. They will then show you the way!

You must arrive 10 minutes before your tour. Later arrival could mean you lose your slot. If you are late you may lose your slot and be charged in full as this affects other tours. Please arrive early and inform our team if you are running late.

Late arrival will mean the loss of your deposit or a requirement to reschedule your tour. Due to Covid regulations we must be extra strict on tour times to ensure all guests have an equal opportunity to visit.

We are contact tracing. It is important you fill out a contact tracing sheet upon arrival.

Social distancing markers will be in place, you will be asked to use hand sanitizer provided on arrival, wear face coverings and capacity is limited to adhere to government guidelines.
